Good recipe to use with the Texas Waffle Maker ...
Yeast Waffle Recipe (in my old Betty Crocker Cook Book - p.124)
1/4 cup warm water (not hot - 110 to 115 degrees)
1 pkg active dry yeast
1 3/4 cups lukewarm milk (scalded then cooled)
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 eggs
1/4 cut soft butter (I use corn/veg oil) then slather butter on the waffle with warm maple syrup.
2 cups sifted flour (Betty want you to use Gold Medal)
In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add milk, sugar and salt. Beat in rest of ingredients with rotary beater. Cover and let rise in warm place (85 degrees) about 1 1/2 hr. Stir down, cover and set in refrigerator overnight or until ready to use. Stir down again when ready to use. Pour onto hot waffle iron. Bake until brown and crisp, 3 to 4 minutes (until light goes out) Makes about eight 7" waffles.

I painted the stars with rustoleum as you suggested and they look great. I have one in my car ready to take to our friendly neighborhood hardware store to pick a screw that will work on our new dresser. The dresser is in my two-year-olds new "big-boy" room. Hi: I will enjoy the hides in our new place. Your prices and hides are great. Hope to meet you when I venture back to get a Texas star of some sort for next to the front door...............since we are just starting construction, there is no hurry.
